"The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts.”
-C.S. Lewis
The teaching methodology introduced at the TTIC has been designed after much research in best practices of both the national and international teaching programs. The methodology aims to hone the child’s inter-personal, analytical, public speaking skills along with immense confidence infusion. The nurturing of the child’s academic curiosity and development is at the core of our methodology. The information mentioned outlines some of the methods to make classroom learning inquiry-based and student-centered. Teachers seek to work co-operatively and collaboratively with the children, respecting the unique abilities that each learner brings into the learning environment.Teachers use a student-centered style which instills confidence, initiative, and the development of critical and analytical skills. Tiny Tots also looks to work in close partnership with all members of its parent community.
STEP BY STEP
Immense stress is given on the basics of the languages and Mathematics which are the building blocks for higher studies. Therefore, the curriculum of the junior classes is structured into progressive steps
SUBJECT ROOMS
Given that our younglings have a short attention span and are also very curious, we have addressed their learning pedagogy by understanding the psychology at this tender age. Therefore we have designed the Subject Room concept. We have the Hindi, English, Mathematics and an EVS room. The child visits these rooms to learn about the particular subjects and hence learns by exploring. The activities that we have designed are a combination of both free play and structures learning.
CULTURE CALL
Gloabliazation is the word of the day. Yet, our Indian culture and heritage gains much acceptance throughout the world. To ensure that students are sculpted into fine individuals, an understanding of our culture is essential. Regular video hours and talks have been instated in the curriculum to foster a holistic development of the child.
SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS & GUEST SPEAKERS
We have the Abacus program for student’s uptil class 6th at extremely subsidized rates. Apart from this we have regular workshops across various fields for e.g. photography, art, dance etc as who knows if a child is able to spot an interest and figure his/ her passion for the field! Henceforth, the seminars form an integral part of the School Curriculum. Guest Speakers are also invited to the schools to familiarize the students on various academic, scientific, social and cultural issues.
